Resident Care Coordinators

Resident Care Coordinators work closely with our Facility Director and Care Team to provide conscientious direct care to residents, maximize effective communication across all departments, and ensure services meet and exceed our quality standards.
 

Responsibilities:

Resident Care Coordinator responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Participating in the creation of a healthy and productive resident environment

  • Reviewing records for accuracy and filing accordingly

  • Ensure quality assurance benchmarks are reached

  • Greeting visitors and guiding them to appropriate resources or contacts

  • Provide general operational support

  • Recognize behavioral changes, identify crisis situations, and recognize when additional assistance is needed

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and insurance (may be required to provide occasional residential transportation support)

  • High school diploma.

  • Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities.

  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.

  • Professional level verbal and written communications skills.

Substance Use Counselors

Our Substance Use Counselors work closely with program residents to foster relationships built on a shared participation in their recovery journey, highlighting the necessity of a constructive self-perception and eagerness to engage challenge.

Responsibilities:

Substance Use Counselor responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • responsible planning and execution of treatment services including individual sessions, group sessions, life-skills workshops for program residents and their families.

  • mental health assessment and referral

  • networking with ancillary services to ensure appropriate "wrap-around" community care is provided during residency and post-discharge

  • aftercare planning including stable housing, vocational preparation/readiness, and legal compliance

  • participation in both independent and program-facilitated research and development for program participants and team members

Requirements:

The qualified individual must possess a degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing or other related field, or possess an active certification as an addictions counselor by a statewide certification body with a minimum of 1 year experience in the field.* Please read below for information.

Additionally, the successful candidate must possess superior skills in regards to documentation, effective time management, computer savvy, organizational skills, and proficiently leading group and individual sessions.

*More on Qualifications:

An interested applicant shall meet at least one of the following groups of qualifications:

(1) Current licensure in this Commonwealth as a physician.

(2) A Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field which includes a practicum in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting.

(3) A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field and 1 year of clinical experience (a minimum of 1,820 hours) in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting.

(4) An Associate Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field and 2 years of clinical experience (a minimum of 3,640 hours) in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting.

(5) Current licensure in this Commonwealth as a registered nurse and a degree from an accredited school of nursing and 1 year of counseling experience (a minimum of 1,820 hours) in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting.

(6) Full certification as an addictions counselor by a statewide certification body which is a member of a National certification body or certification by another state government’s substance abuse counseling certification board.

Recovery Specialists

Our Certified Recovery Specialists work closely with program members in addition to clinical and administrative team members to provide conscientious direct care to service recipients and ensure quality standards are met and exceeded. Candidates should possess an eagerness to engage challenge and compelling organizational and communicational skills.

Responsibilities:

Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure compliance with professional and best practice standards, ethics, quality of care, legal, state, and federal policy and requirements

  • Prepare recovery plans identifying objectives, outcomes, and priorities

  • Provide transportation to and from client focused and case specific activities and services, which may include individual or group sessions with a supportive and educational focus

  • Maintain timely documentation
